Like Gerry and Pam said, mentor / mentee program is one way of improving (and I suggest it too, there are great mentors, suitable for every specialized aspect of the game: towntelling / scumhunting / pr-hunting etc...)
But it's not the only one, obviously :)
1) Time.
You can't think after 3 games you will have learned everything. Obviously the first games will introduce you to the basic terms and concepts in the game, the purposes of the 2 sides and the basic roles. Fundamentally, that's all. The rest will come with ***time***
2) Your Experience.
Following that same line, the more you play, the more experience you get, the better you will be at the game (because you will know more about the game, the roles, the players - if you play with some over and over - and more)
3) Other people's Experience
Other people, who already played/play EM (short for epicmafia), have made guides on how to play this game "better". You can find them here:
https://epicmafia.com/topic/66584https://epicmafia.com/topic/66871https://epicmafia.com/topic/66277https://epicmafia.com/topic/65563There might be more, in that case I don't know them.
Anyway, it's important to remember different people ***play*** differently and ***learn*** differently, so if you feel one of those guides is working for you, cool, if you feel nothing of those is working, a mentor is probably your way to go: ask for what you want to improve and the mentor team will try to select the one that fits best with it + time zone + availability.
See you all around,
Guy
