People are saying that "not saving with cop alive is automatically a game throw", but Cabb explained themselves. If this were to actually be a game throw, Cabb would have to be 100% sure that the cop was indeed a cop (aka know which role was janned) and STILL choose to not save them. Other games aside, I would give the benefit of the doubt on this one even though it was a risky play.
I was answering the poll question then I realized the question was "Am I salty" and not "did doc GT." Answer to the second is yes, Idk about the first one lol
Gamethrowing is, by definition, INTENTIONALLY going against your win condition. The question of intent is one more often than not unanswered. As per Cabb's intentions, they were towards his win condition, however, it was a suboptimal play. So overall, I call it a very suboptimal play over a gamethrow.

orange is right and if you don't understand what orange is saying (even after she clearly explained it to you) then you're dumb
Well in the case of the cop it was more about having a confirmed maf than having a confirmed clear. Since if maf NKed there it would pretty well confirm the cop was fake.
Under normal circumstances you don't gain that much information by NSing. Yeah, you'll know that maf NKed and not have a fake "clear" from your save, but this can be accomplished just as easily by just assuming your save was never clear to begin with. You gain nothing by letting that person die.
Yeah, I'll accept that. Maf could have chosen to hunt doc and hit your save, by no saving you can be 100% sure that maf NKed and have a lot stronger reason to know the cop was janned.
yeah but at the end it does gain me valuable information. Let's say I save the cop who is actually mafia and it turns out he nked and then from then on im going to assume hes real when in fact he is not. So I'd rather not have that and just let the cop die confirming his reports so we can play off those if so.
In my opinion the nk is just too strong and can fk up the doc too hard that's why I choose to no save to counter the nk. Here I can link you a game where soda just straight up wins cuz he nked d1.
Ehh, I've spoken to Cabb in PM and it seems like what he was trying to do was bait maf into NKing because he thought cop was janned, then out that he didn't save anybody in order to make it obvious that something was up. I can kind of see where he was coming from in that case, assuming he legitimately felt the cop claim was scummy I can accept it as a legitimate play. Especially since town did win anyway, no reason not to give the benefit of the doubt.
can someone seriously explain this "autowin" yes what if i saved who we thought was cop but how do i know COP IS REAL AND NOT MAFIA making up a report?? There is NO WAY except scumhunting and id rather confirm a role by letting it die and using that information.
I'm inclined to say "no harm no foul" when town manages to win anyway in spite of the "throw". If he'd lost it'd probably be gamethrowing. Since they won anyway it didn't really matter.
im actually confused there is no such thing as auto win in this setup as there could always be the possibility of the pr being janned and mafia pretending to be that pr. What if cop was janned and the cop was fake??? This has happened before and this play is a way to prevent that from happening. Since cop dies I know that cop isn't fake or I no save and cop remains alive that is also very fos and makes me question whether or not cop is real or not. If I do save the cop and mafia nks but is pretending to be cop that could further make me think that cop is real when it is in fact mafia.Take for example this game, its up to me to belive if cop is real or not as that is always a possibility. By allowing him to die I then can confirm him as cop as well as all his reports and reads. please take time to actually think about this and if im wrong fee free to correct me but I would never intentionally game throw. I play to win.
