[Poll] Lunch Game Deck

over 8 years

So a new game-mode will be started within the lobby called Lunch Game, and it's a cross between Crack Games and Dinner Games. Not quite as crazy as Crack but not really formal like Dinner either.

They're basically RP-mandatory games. You use your own knowledge to analyze the situation and the game, but you must be in character the whole time.

This poll is for the deck method we will use. There are three options I've settled on, so we will vote among those.

Random Draw Just like the normal games. Completely random, go with what you get in the roll and try your best.

Random Draw + Reroll The draw is random like normal games, but if anyone really doesn't like their draw, the group rerolls.

Colour Draw This is how the Dinner Lobby likes to do it, with the anon deck being colours rather than characters, and letting everyone choose who they are. However, this makes it so people need to use emotes or text indicators to roleplay.

How should characters be assigned?

Demon, that's how Dinner Games work. We've tried and tested the heavy IC Lunch Games and it's worked very well. It's not necessarily an RP situation, but more like as if the characters were playing the game themselves. Sometimes we make it a situation but again, through testing the mode, it's worked very well for quicker games without crackposting and like this;

Papyrus: OMG ASGORE GIMME SUM DANK W33D FROM UR WEED GARDEN

Because sometimes people just want to play the game for the game, but maybe don't want to see crackposting all the time. This is a perfect solution, tried and true.

It's different entirely due to it being rp situation, and being ic, you should learn who the killers are through rp means.

That's like saying that we cheat in every normal game.

Am I wrong?

From Dunkle since they cant comment themselves "So it's dinner games. Except with cheating from what I can tell from this?"

In dinner games you have to use IC knowledge to figure out who the killer is. In this, you can use OOC.

It's like a regular game only more RP'd out.

Color Draw I feel is the best way to go about it. So long that everyone understands the rule of first come, first serve.
