send me a message if you want a spot in the next game. it'll start in a few days
forum mafia 11: the game
by me and soda
I. The Schedule:
36 hours per day, 12 hours per night.
II. The Setup:
Normal closed roles setup, as always, with the roles and affixes listed below. Any role can be town or mafia, and have any number of affixes.
By default there are no Night 1 actions, including the mafia kill.
By default no role can self visit, except watcher.
Players who share a meeting may communicate outside the game at any time of day.
Players are always notified at day start if their role is changed.
One mafia always leads the kill, and it's always the one that submits the kill last. Each mafia will visit the kill target.
On death, players flip their role, alignment and affix type by default, but not their affix details.
III. Supermajority Lynch Rules:
A lynch will happen immediately if a supermajority vote is reached (e.g. 9/16)
At end of day, "No votes" count as "no one" votes, but will not count towards a mid-day supermajority vote of "no one". The player with the most votes at that end of day, (including "no one") will be lynched.
Days can be ended early without a lynch by a supermajority "no one" vote.
I don't plan to get him lynched ATM; I considered pushing which is what led me to the realization that the read was really bad, so I'd like to just let my vote sit there 'till Stragger returns. I don't particularly want to lynch any active players right now.
I voted because Stragger voted without saying anything at daystart as his entrance, and his vote was something someone else had voted. I was going to explain it before you asked that but then I realized it was a horrible read and decided not to say anything lol.
my reads rn are fickle and stupid so I'm not outing them every other post.
Things escalated incredibly fast between them. Also the way Jeff answered Iceaac's logic with emotion; it didn't read as a forced interaction to me. Although down the line I would be perfectly willing to give it another look.
You're the type of person who gets 'offended' and 'hurt' easily and I can see why you'd overreact to my posts about Sonrio. Also Uranus is right and mafia probs don't think that much this early on thus I unvoted.
Pls dont tell me how I can and can't play. As town I want to facilitate as much discussion and interaction between players in the game and the best way to do that is get people talking.
I'm not TRing anyone yet because it's D1 ad hella easy to fake towntells. Voting and the proceeding mafia kill will give me significantly more solid reads.
The quickest way to get alignment reads in a mafia game that's not irl is by getting people to respond emotionally. Without facial expressions or body language to read, it's the next easiest thing to pick up on in terms of alignment.
When the table is significantly stacked I don't see myself as dominant at all. You getting worked up and needing to defend Sonrio over a non-attack is strange as I'm sure Sonrio can speak for himself.

I needled Sonrio because I've been able to read him before when he responds to baitposts like that. Reading people is 90% based on how they feel and you thinking I'm tyring to be mean for the sake of being mean is stupid.
Look, I'm not saying Icee is scum but yes I'm voting him for being all around unpleasant when I honestly just wanna try out a peaceful game of Forum Mafia.
This is forum Mafia, not regular Mafia. Me being a sassy little ahole isn't a scum tell when this game lasts over a week and you're as unpleasant as I'll get out.
Hilarious joke where you call Sonrio a child and assert your non existent dominance. How old are you?
You have to realize in a likely three mislynches game, if you're unpleasant you'll just be kicked to the curb.
I don't think many scums are consciously thinking about how they can halt interactions to prevent reads. That seems like a bit of a stretch to me, Iceaac.
