bubbling then backspacing everything & having the mafia guilty me, the orc was probably my greatest enjoyment of jan back in the day

I misread Anthony's statement and was thinking he was defending the [name] [report] > [report] [name] theory.
The point of the hypothetical was more "Would you apply it to players who would know it would be scumread?", addressed to someone who normally scumreads it.
Also the whole "inno " versus " inno" when you cc as cop is pure bs aswell
it really isnt although it only applies to d1 reports
a cop knows in their head who theyre checking before the day starts so tends to write the name first, the maf often knows if theyre doing an inno or guilty report before the day starts so they tend to write the alignment first

You can never go wrong with lynching the second claim. 8/10 times you will be right unless cop is a d****e and purposefully stalls his claim.
you know who you're checking at night already. you should be concerned about looking for one word: innocent or guilty. typing that most important name of information first and then the name after makes sense, to me. but the other way is fine too.
what baffles me is that there isn't a way that instantly confirms you as mafia, but people think there is. dumbasses.
yeah but giga, you do know who you're checking already and (again, because of the meta) cops claim fast so you should be typing out the name of the person you know while reading the report
BTW, I do not disagree with you because if you are focused on READING the message before typing a word, then i can see why you would type the inno/guilty first. same thing with a jan reading the message of who dies though, they might 'slip' a report because based on the message they read, they decided to either random inno or random guilty
also, the funny thing is reporting name first would actually probably make people more skeptical of your claim because of bubbling back then
if you're town, you know who you're investigating at night, meaning the only thing you're looking for is what the alignment is. most people, including me, are only looking for what alignment the person is sided with, type that, and then type the name of the person they remember they investigated. this is just an excuse to not scumhunt between claims.
Hypothetical: You see me type it out of order. Do you think it is a scumtell?
no, because anyone reading their report knows who they investigate, so they aren't reading their report for both person and alignment, meaning it shouldn't matter what the order is since all they care about is the alignment written in the report.

i used to always put inno/guilty before my claim, i did it for 3-4 years. now ive had to change what feels natural to me as cop or as mafia ccing cop, because people will lynch me if i give my report that way.
some people use this logic, and when they lynch the real cop, they tell the cop that it's their fault for claiming wrong! i've seen this countless times and it's truly unbelievable as to how stupid some players are these days.
hint: it doesn't matter what order the cop gives their report. they can do it however they want, and whatever way they decide is the "right" way, because, well, they're the real f*cking cop.
honestly whenever i post in a thread everything just stops and starts to revolve around me. this is one of the cool things (and curse, i supposed) about being a hot, intelligent 9.5/10 on a low populated internet forum like epicmafia. when you are the cream of the crop like me, people will just drop the discussion at hand and try to start a conversation with you whenever u show ur face. i guess it's kind of akin to being starstruck IRL. i wonder how it feels when one of you normal users see a celebrity user like me post in your threads. haha on second thought maybe i dont even care.

Had a guy in a red heart game tell me that you are only town if the word "inno" follows the name of the player you have the report on because if you are reading your report, the name should come before the alignment, so if it doesn't, you weren't actually reading a report.
It must have slipped the poor guy's mind that I may have typed my report after reading it. Shame.
the thought is you if you are cop, you know who you are going to check and your mind should be processing the name first then the report after, since the report is something new you're going to learn (not only that, but that you can be typing the name out while reading the report)
if you are mafia, sometimes you are more concerned with outting the "inno" or the "guilty" part dependent on what gets killed
something like that anyways
I'm aware of what the theory is. I'm also aware that it is a stupid theory perpetuated by quasi intellectual wannabe Freudian's.
Dear wannabe Freudian's: Maybe my "unconscious mind" is not compelling me to type my report in a certain way. Maybe I'm lazy.

I get what you're saying and it makes sense, but I'm personally not a fan of it. Seems too easy for a mislynch to result from that
