While there is no doubt that women are dealing with sexism everyday, most people who haven't undergone a lobotomy would agree. But my question is can there be sexism against men? If so, I'd like some examples that would suggest there is, and if not I would like evidence in the same department. While this thread can easily boil down to "MUH FEELZ Y U TRIGGOR MEH!?" Ladies, I don't want bashing of males here and men I don't want any blatant misogyny. Most of all, (while this is a bit naive of me) respect each other's evidence and disprove them as you see fit.
If we're going off of the dictionary definition of sexism, then yes, men do experience sexism. It's somewhat few and far between in comparison to what women experience, but it's definitely there. Antikrist covered it pretty well - being forced to assume a masculine disposition when it's not natural to their personalities, being ignored as victims of sexual assault and domestic abuse, frequently losing to their ex-wives in custody battles, to name a few issues that men face.
So yeah, absolutely, they do experience sexism by definition, but I'm not sure I want to say yes on this one just because the reasons cited by MRAs and the like for sexism against men are pretty much BS. Most of them boil down to being refused sex, not being able to find a romantic partner, and being called out for sexist remarks. Very rarely is it brought up in 'red pill' discussions that men are victimized by domestic abuse nearly as much as women, or that men's identities are repressed as much as women's based on society's masculine ideal. Sadly, the evidence of sexism against men brought up by MRAs generally becomes the staple argument as opposed to what is presented by the rest of us.
In short, in agreeing with this, I'm not sure if I'm siding with the sane, rational definition of sexism against men or the overblown Reddit rendition, so I'm fence-sitting for now.
I wasn't saying that women don't get discriminated against, I'm curious to see if other notice the reverse-sexism. Don't try and make this thread about something that we already know happens. NOT TO MENTION, it still amazes me that people say that women are dominant to men (though with all the metro-sexuality going around eh) even though there are studies that show the exact opposite. (Btw don't ask me to cite sources, because you sure didn't.) What I heard from you just now was "But mah feelz say that women are in charge and men's issues should sit by the wayside".
- boys are told not to cry/"man up" - no one talks about male sexual assault - no one talks about male domestic violence - men are still frowned upon if they're hit by a woman even if they're getting their arse beat - men are forced to pay child support but a woman can choose to terminate a pregnancy. why can someone choose not to become a mother but one can't decline responsibilities of fatherhood? - women are favored in court during custody battles. usually women get primary physical custody - women are favored in divorce battles. you never hear of men filing for spousal support
I could continue but I really don't want to. Is there sexism against men? Of course. There's also many privileges as well.
Men are told to "man up" to tell them to stop crying. Men are naturally not inclined to talk about their feelings. This is a fact.
The rest is true.
Reminder that 1 in 7 American and British boys are on ADHD drugs because the feminized education system that treats boys in agender/feminine manners is not congruent with boy's biological tendencies.
That is a mod that typed that, and it was typed as a joke.
I may have worded it funny, but I did say that I knew they were joking. I'm simply saying, if neither of us were joking around with our phrases, I'd be the one banned from this site and not the woman.

I'd bet money the mods would be pissed if I said the following phrase "Kill all women". That wasn't in an obvious joking tone, while I understand that it's joking (I'd hope so anyways.) but for those who are serious about the phrase "Kill all men." if the coin was flipped the man would be locked up in jail. Because free speech is a f**king joke and it doesn't exist when it's against women.
