It is time wasted if they realise upon reflection they were being fed the wrong advice about themselves.

Clearly if they are questioning their identity they need to know the options available to them to make the right decision, a lot of time can also be wasted on pretending everything is fine and just thinking through what if's

If you couldn't be genetically (or culturally, but I think it's inherent AT LEAST in the extreme cases) predisposed to homosexuality then there's no way people would choose to be that way when it wasn't considered acceptable

you can still want something more than something else and have that thing not be acceptable.

Are you trying to imply homosexuality is hurting anyone? Because this is why I'm totally anti-religion down to my bones. I was just starting to be more accepting of religion in and of itself but you're reminding me what a horror of a fantasy it is.

Unless they have physically transitioned I don't think re-establishing gender or sexuality is very punishing, and iirc you take a very long process to make physical changed and can't be done if you're under 18

Yeah but the anxiety and stress this exerts on someone, worrying about wasted time in the wrong shoes, societal perspectives looking inward on them, having opportunities pass them by, and yada yada. It's a fucktonne of baggage.
