Delete and redo custom roles?

If I were to buy one custom role slot and make a role for it, could I later delete it and remake it as something else without buying anything more?

You could technically do it by activating it without sharing it, letting you deactivate it, but the only way you can play with the role is by hosting a game yourself with the role in it.
