It does, but learning a romance language also makes it easier to learn other romance languages. I think the main advantage besides making some parts of grammar easier, is that you can readily surmise the meaning of lots of words based on your knowledge of Latin, but in order to really get maximum benefit you'd need to know a lot of vulgar/medieval Latin. You also need to know something about the way sounds shifted, especially for French. For instance:
I: Classical Latin: ego Later Vulgar Latin: eo Spanish: yo Italian: io French: je
It also leads to some hilarious realizations. in Spanish the word for work is trabajo, that term itself derives ultimately from a Vulgar Latin term meaning 'torture instrument.'
Anyway I don't think the benefit of learning romance languages afterward is a good reason to learn Latin by itself.
But then again I'm doing a semi-ok job teaching myself Latin, can teach myself Greek later on, and can do so for $10 dollars worth of late charges at my public library, to quote Good Will Hunting. (Although who uses libraries these days)
do you think it's true latin makes the other romance languages easier or is that just a myth

Philosophy and Classics are both awesome but post-graduation employability is bad so rip.
Still thinking of going back for a degree in Classics Studies though since I don't have to worry about ending up as a pizza delivery boy.
the vibe that i am getting from this chart is that if you suck at math, you're basically screwed in your existence
that is the vibe i am getting too
it's ok i don't need to be employed anyway

Economics can use a lot of math actually depending on your exact field of study so that's not precisely accurate. Psych usually uses stats but most psych majors take a simplified statistics course so lol.
psychology is important because without taking psych 101 i wouldn't know that i am actually bipolar and paranoid schizophrenic while also being an introvert
