Earlier today, a guy with around 1200 ranked games played (only on that account) simply insulted half of the lobby during Day 1. Fortunately, we ml'd him and continued our match.
Soon after I had reported him, a mod closed the report with the reason "no vio". There indeed wasn't any specific rule against those who get pissed off once in a while and ruin their next game by consistently insulting other people.
I'm pretty confused right now, as this is not the first (nor the last) time when I see somebody acting like that. This makes me think anyone can just call others "trash", "morons" and "sacs of " carelessly, because they won't be taken care of.
I can understand that most of the experienced players have gotten used to being insulted and don't mind it anymore.
Skillz, you're forgetting that most of the people aren't as unsensitive as you. Not all of us enjoy games where people insult each other. This only makes the community even more unpolished.
And let me remind you: the point of the thread is exactly in the title and it has already been answered in the first 7 posts, where even the mod symphatised those who cannot behave.
Having this in mind along with the amount of people who agreed to have an extremely welcoming and friendly community, I believe there's no more reason to continue the thread.

Lets be real here, no one gets offended when they are called idiots, morons, trash. And most of the people do not get offended when they are called the r word. The reason why people report you for things is because they are mad/salty about something else that happened inside the game.
OP is basically like: "Someone called me trash, I'm not trash! :( I'll just report them cause I'm angry that I was called trash and not because I was offended by the word"
Most insults here on epicmafia do not really offend the victim. The victim just hates the other guy who insulted them and decides to report them.
This means that you don't hear those simple and uneffective "insulting" words in real life?
actually, offensive language is a lot more prohibited now than it used to be. thankfully, the more strict policies were lifted, but we'll never be free to dish out insults like we used to. i miss the old days
Hateful Comments Excessive insults against one or more persons/groups based on slurs/comments against race, sexual orientation, religion or other similar personal circumstances. Expires in 3 months Warning 12 Hour Suspension and 24 Hour Forum Suspension 24 Hour Suspension and Forum, Comment, and Chat Ban Site Ban
Harassment Making repeated/severe personal attacks toward or slandering another Epicmafia user when the user has shown the harasser that he is offended. Expires in 6 months Warning 12 Hour Suspension and 24 Hour Forum Suspension 24 Hour Suspension and Forum, Comment, and Chat Ban Site Ban
In other words, I'll be able to legitimately report a person only after he's been insulting me for weeks (after I've politely asked him to stop)
Alright, I'll follow this guideline.

If it continues over a longer period of time after you've asked them to stop you can file a report for harassment. What I was saying is that you can't report someone for calling you "moron" a few times.
Thus, I presume telling others to "F off" because they're a bunch of "F trashes" isn't a big deal because, after all, they're just minor words that I can repeat over the game.

Unfortunately EpicMafia's a competitive environment, and with competitive environments come insults and trashtalking. We aren't going to dish out violations for every minor word if it isn't offensive (namely the R-word and N-word).
