It's really hit and miss for me, I prefer k rock and j rock because they tend to include a lot more interesting compositional elements than western rock bands and take jazz influence.
Honestly, I do not know if it'd be racist to say I do not like Asian Music kind of stuff, so far all that I have listened to is not the stuff that I'd really enjoy listening.
I don't think racist is the term but it's surely a massive generalization, there is such a wide range of asian styles of music ranging from traditional, influenced by traditional, their own trends and western influences that I'm sure that you would probally like quite a few artists if you heard them, not that I'm suggesting any. But the two things is you have grown up listening to mainly western music and are conditioned to enjoy it from a young age and we don't really get much attention of artists who don't originate from USA, Canada or Europe so a lot of the stuff you are hearing is the stuff big enough to make it to your ears, e.g the Justin Beiber, Nikki Minaj and Taylor Swift of thier scenes. There are people who do it better but they are the most marketable and popular iterations of a certain style.
