Plus its just a game. Winning losing doesn't matter to me, I play my best and don't harass new players on their every move.

Then your selfish. xD Like when I first joined EM no one cared how I played and I ended up getting a trophy playing my way. Now a days, everyone just complains when people don't play their way.

I'd rather convince someone that they need to change how they're playing so that I can win a game rather than taking a loss and letting a new person learn by trial and error.

Simple easy solution. Everyone let each other play their own ways. People who like learning by themselves. Let them play that way. If someone doesn't agree with a way someone plays, just tell them exactly what bothers them and go on with your game. Me, I only learn by making my own mistakes and learning, if I need help, I ask. Though most of the time I learn by myself.
