Because my internet options are either extremely expensive fibre optic, or third world garbage. I've also been tied into Sky for a while in order to get cheaper TV. I'm getting really annoyed with them now though.

He is right though, after spending a whole lot of money on admittedly very comfortable yet quite overprices headsets whom tend to have a very shite mic if you dont pay insane amounts of money(turtlebeach for example) you're better of getting a modmic: http://www.modmic.com/ and a nice pair of regular headsets.
