So that the side that causes it loses. Imagine this scenario:

  • Town NL's because MYLO
  • System Message appears
  • Doc saves the clear again

  • Mafia target the clear again

How is this even a viable option?

You missed the part where you suggested allowing mafia to give town a ml as an alternative to killing into potential autoloss.

The meteor more often than not is to stop town from stalling, however in niche cases where the meteor falls on mafia, they should be held accountable for it since town has to earn the meteor falling on mafia in the first place.

i agree, my long game strategy where i distanced myself as a blue claim from both my garbage partners who got lynched day 1 and day 2 doesn't matter and all of my good play on previous days gets nullified because miloo7 thinks i deserve to lose

Guys I got a simple solution for all of this meteor nonsense:

When meteor happens, whichever team deserves to win and played the most fairly wins.

what if mafia could either lynch between themselves or force no lynch on a meteor mylo day?

Some cases with Bomb/Orc/Blue/Mafia doesn't agree with that as mafia wouldn't be able to kill with meteor on them.
