Dove felt extreamly scared as they wander into the passageways. The gard keeps staring at the group. Dove looks at arthur, who looks down. 'Poor arthur' she tought to herself. She looks at romula who was the same way. 'What has this horrible place do to them?'
She felt a sense of justic that has to be done!
The group had funally arrived at their destination. Dove thinks of a way to help arthur and romula
"FOLLOW ME" the guard says and he starts to walk outside . There is another much scrawnier guard standing up right outside the door.
Everyone files past the guard and he follows behind them down the path.
Dove whispers to Kiraa
"wwwww-w-w-Where are we going"
Kira briefly turns her head
"shhhhh"
they finally get back to the main castle and head down several passage ways
The guard who was walking behind them has been ordered to keep watch at the main doors incase anyone decides to wander away from the group
Everyone is in the line now in front of the guard. Dove notices infront of her the Romula and Arthur look completely run down and both look disinterestedly at the wooden floor beneath their feet.
The guard walks towards Arthur
"Look at me old man"
Clips him around the back of the head
"Are you going to show a bit more interest today??"
Arthur cowers alittle and nods his head careful avoiding to let out a whimper
She catch her breath and stands straight up. Looking at the tall man. She had no idea what is going on, but she felt nervouse
Dove has been sleeping for awhile now and she stirs just before the sun is about rise to the sound of dogs barking and the clanking of iron boots along the cobblestone path leading between the house
"DOVE!!!!"
Kiraa comes sprinting through the door, "quick put your boots and cardigan on" the guards wait for noone you have to make a good impression
Kiraa and Dove sprint down the stairs and wait eagerly at the bottom for the door to open
The handle turns sharply and door collides with the wall with no regard for the property
Dove hides behind the shoulder of Kiraa cautiously hoping the guard's eyes do not strike hers
"LINE UP you worthless vermin" a large burly voice echos around the hollow house. A ginormous man atleast 6'5'' who looks like he has been eating for a whole family for many years now powerful draws the attention of everyone in the room
"He has black hair, blue eyes, and hes slighty slender" she than yawns "thank you. I owe you one"
"Ofcourse, i've seen what a horrible place this is. Maybe the others will help us aswell we can talk to them in the morning"
"What does he look like? this castle is very big with lots of doors heavily guarded"
" i think thjs kindom might've kidnapped him. My brother is a unlicensed doctor, but he saved many lives"
She looks at kiraa " will you help me find him?"
"Healed you? is he a Doctor?" Kiraa started to perk up a little
"We could use a Doctor around here, if you came to this castle that must mean you think he is around this place somewhere"
" i was badly sick. My brother healed me .than he dissapeared. Every day i waited for him, but he never came" she was hiding her tears "i want to f-find him!"
Kiraa moves closer to dove who has shifted her attention from outside to the cold wooden floors
"What is it Dove, what happened to your brother?"
"There seems to have been an awful lot of deaths lately"
Dove felt really sorry for kiraa. She wish there was somthing she can do to help "I wounder the same thing" she said
" i dont remember who my parents were...all i remember is my brother. He always took care of me and i.." she started to look down
Kiraa's face takes a turn for the worse all of a sudden it's like Dove can see right through her she opens her mouth to talk but her lips are trembling and the occasional tear roles down her cheek. Eventually she lets out something vaguely resembling a sentence
"I-I-I......was orphaned 4 years ago when, when, when my parents were killed in a car accident. Justin is my uncle but he does not treat me like on of his own. I haven't seen Justin or been outside this castle since the day I got here"
Dove is shocked and doesn't know what to say.
She ponders in silence whilst Kiraa composes herself again
'Who is Justin, why is he keeping all these people here in such horrible conditions. What is going on!'
Dove shows a soft smile and takes a quarter loaf. She follows kiraa while taking a bite of bread. " how long have you been here..if you dont mind me asking'
The girl who made the keen observation about Dove before quickly stands up
"Come Dove sit with us, My name is Kiraa I'll introduce you and then show you around the house"
Dove sheepishly follows Kiraa into the corner where the others are eating bread
Kiraa points at a lady in her 40s "This is Romula she is the mother of our house she isn't very well at the moment so everyone must take care of her"
"over here is George he was a fellow street dweller like yourself you guys will have alot in common"
A man gets up and Doves eyes light up, he extends his arm and shakes Doves
"Hello my name is Shurioki, but you can call me oki ;)"
Kiraa then gestures at an older man snoozing in a chair "Tha Arthur he is very old we all pitch in to do his share of the chores to make his life easier, once you are in the castle Justin will not let you leave, the only way out is in a casket!"
Kiraa breaks out into a skipping motion "quick grab some bread dove and follow me", Kiraa hasn't seen another girl her own age in years
"Look how frail and worn down she looks" One of the workers who somewhat resembles a youngish adult female can be heard saying.
Esme promptly interrupts before anything more hurtful gets said
"This is going to be your house my dear and these 5 will be your housemates, you will work the same shifts as them, use the wash house facilities at the same time as them and perform the same daily chores as them. I suggest you make an effort to get to know your knew family"
Esme changed her demeanor to a soft tone "everyone..we have a new worker"
"I-is it one of his spies?" On of the workers asked
" no i doubt it. Justin seems..angry about her" esme said thinking. She looks at dove " what is your name?"
"My name is dove" she said " but my full name is diana nicks"
The workers chatter and one person looks at her.
Esme takes Dove through a door at the back of the kitchen and down a windy narrow hallway it leads outside of the main castle. There is a set of houses all two stories high with lush green vines growing up the side of them spouting purple flowers. Dove gazes at their beauty for a few seconds before following closely behind Esme as they walk through one of the doors.
The inside tells a completely different story the upkeep is minimal with paint peeling off the walls, mold and moisture bubbles all along the ceiling.
In the distance she sees 5 people huddled around a fire eating a loaf of bread
"Y-y-yes your majesty" Esme says before turning to dove " you! Girl! Follow me"
Dove silently follows along.
"Esme we need workers. I HAVE TOLD YOU BEFORE NOT TO QUESTION ME" a thunderous jolt rocks the nearby table as Justin recklessly unleashes his anger
Esme displays a lost look on her face she has gone bleach white never before has she seen such anger. She ponders to herself what is it Justin wants with this girl who could she possibly be???
" i wont s-sir " she stutters before making a quick curtsie
Esme looks at justin " you want me to work with this....this...peasent??"
Dove opens her mouth to protest but stay silent.
Justin quickly grabs Dove by shoulder and forcefully rotates her body towards the big double doors laced in gold
"UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS SOMEONE OF YOUR STATUS ALLOWED THROUGH THOSE DOORS"
"This is Esma she is in charge of the kitchen you will do everything she asks, do not try anything sneaky dove!"
Justin flings the door open to what is a state of the art kitchen there are several stoves up against one of the walls bubbling with what smells like chilli for lunch, the back corner of the kitchen has 3 ovens where the smell of bread quickly fills the air.
Justin turns around to Dove with his hand still clenched to the door and looks down upon her with his burly frame
"Do not speak to me like you know me, do not speak like you are here as my guest"
He briefly pauses before turning his back again to open the door
