Hey guys, so some of you may know me on the site, some may love me (doubtful haha) and some may hate me.... Anywho, I'd like to pose the question on how a mod may be chosen, it was under my understanding that a player is chosen as a mod through careful consideration by the current mods, correct me if I am wrong.

In relation to this - that's if I am not barking up the wrong tree in my assumptions, why then do we have many users posting and self promoting their own campaigns in becoming mods? Surely the decision is already laborious and hard enough.

I myself am currently applying but am in no way in writing this as self promotion! I would also however like to further state that: At the end of the day, the mods will come to form a good choice in the end (hopefully) so after applying for the role, everybody needs to understand that it should be left with them - if they wish to show their commitment, go about it in other ways, help other users more or contribute more to the site without declaring self promotion, especially after the request for another mod. These qualities should be displayed at all times and not for the benefit of when the mods state they are looking for new helpers.

Lastly - sorry, if you have actually given the time to read this then I must admire you for tolerating my ramble - please do feel free to kindly answer my question, state your opinion or just downright shoot me down < Please do not do the latter - I may cry :')
