it's dead in the sense that ever since early 2013 it's been waning and will likely stop being relevant (if it isn't already) in the next year or so

I said this tons of times, comp was never dying, it had steadily increased and managed to even hit 1,200 ppl when moderators advertised in training

People just have a ton of Alts now.

I think competition as it was is dead, because the meta and what's acceptable has shifted pretty heavily since the merge.
