I evaluate the cost of a movie on a dialogue-by-dialogue basis. It helps me enjoy the film.

Yeah don't you just hate watching action movies and you see a really rocking scene with the cars crashing and the flames everywhere and the explosions across town and you're like Shittt just IMAGINE how much this cost to make.
Compelling storylines if you select the correct genre and without the obscene budgeting needed that live action has. I don't see what's wrong with it, and I thoroughly enjoy anime at almost 20 years old.
That's why anime is separated primarily by age. If you start watching anime when you're 18, you might like some shoujo or shonen stuff, but the majority might get old after a while. That's why there's josei and seinen anime out there as well. Anime, like cartoons and any other media have their fair share of garbage however, there are always gems; you just gotta sift through it until you find the good stuff. *shrugs* That's how I feel about it. EDIT: Hamburger practically said the same exact thing as I was typing this lol so yeah... nicely said!

Thank you.

Rule of thumb, really. Even the vast majority of your favourite music genre is total crap.

anime is either of those things in the same way that regular tv is either of those things. there are some really good shows which are worth the time to watch and which might be able to change your outlooks but the vast majority is crap that i can't imagine doing anything but dumbing people down

I used to think Inyuasha was good, from what I remembered when I watched at 12 years old. Then they added it to Netflix and I realized they don't speak English.
So, all anime sucks tbh imho tbh

With the exception of a very small minority of anime and/or Manga, this is a resounding no.
