Can you be banned for...?

over 9 years

Can you be banned for quitting a game when people are being super rude to you? Someone was telling me and my friend how to play and being extremely rude, calling us names. So-- we both left. Now the leader of that game and the troll reported me and my friend? I don't understand that logic, but can you be banned for it?

These are the most ridiculous, obscure, off-the-wall scenarios I have ever seen.

i didn't say it had to be a common occurrence, I said there are certain situations in which you are permitted to suicide. That's one of them.

what if someone got bullied into suiciding (editor's note: in-game i mean not irl)

Nah, that's a grs because it's directly linked to the game.

People used to do this years ago and it wasn't punished. Not sure how its handled now.

here's a scenario: someone uploads a custom gif of something vile (child , or some other type of goatese) they're the clear and there's a protective role & the spam the gif throughout the game and stall the days to spam said gif.

You can sui and if you disagree Twist, you're stupid.

You're pìssing in the wind here, sometimes things happen in games that aren't exactly according to plan - that doesn't mean you can be a baby about it and suicide out out of something you don't approve of.

There's no real argument why you should be excused from getting a vio if it's "severe enough", a game related reason is still a game related reason.

Sometimes if a violation happens in a game, later violations in the same game aren't enforced.

Like if a townie CCs cop in order to troll, gets lynched and turns blue, someone can sui and they likely won't get a vio.

Though the moderator team nowadays is different from years ago when I was active, so I don't know how these things are handled now.

Yeah I'm probably not talking from a position of power here when I don't think there should be exceptions to a rule that revolves around "any game related reason".
deletedover 9 years
you can say that but you're wrong
deletedover 9 years
Agreed, except there isn't.

Nah, there are definitely situations where you should be allowed to suicide because of another user. This just wasn't one of them

Actually I'm pretty sure you can sui for verbal harassment and not get a vio if its severe enough. The problem is if its not severe enough you risk getting a vio yourself

Why the userbase is declining in numbers - Caps raging and being annoying to a new player isn't against the rules so people take advantage of that and abuse new players. New players get upset and leave the site

You sure it's not the trolls?
over 9 years
the "tough it out" thing doesn't apply to new players as much because i, and hopefully the other mods try to be lenient towards new players, but a lot of high profile games do the same thing. it's not fun to sit there and get insulted, but you need to be aware that leaving a game in progress ruins it for everyone else.
