If anyone can offer a real argument as to why the limit should be at 1500 it should be fine to stay, but is there really any reason for it?

Well, they don't fill much; you could be creating the same table for an hour and then get 1 game. You're also playing with worse people because experienced players basically only play gold hearts as long as the round is going.

You could join Jan 2.0 and bv games. They fill somewhat regularly

Playing red hearts is basically all luck anyway. There's nothing that playing 1500 points of that will teach people that 500 points doesn't. If you're concerned about trolls then have the mods ban them instead of forcing every player to play an unreasonable amount of completely boring games in order to play some fun ones.
