No, I'm not. The Soviets did a lot of crap wrong, but Cuba was a gigantic American balls up from the Bay of Pigs right up til the Missile Crisis. The Soviets putting missiles there was both predictable and understandable given where America had put its own missiles in Turkey, and JFK's responses were frankly idiotic.
