I transferred a chunk of money from my paypal to my bank on Friday. My paypal says the transaction has gone from pending to completed but my bank doesn't open until Monday and my online banking does not show the sum I transferred from paypal. If I go to the store and buy a PS4 and run my debit card as credit, would the transfer hit my bank account before the charge since it was done first? I don't want overdraft fees but I also want to go buy a PS4. Any help would be appreciated

It'll only be updated on banking days, in the US that means Monday-Friday, it also won't move through the automated clearing house at all during during Saturday and Sunday, there's a good chance it won't be available until Tuesday.
Also it might not show as available till midnight since banks do batch processing at ungodly hours of the night. Of course if you're in the UK the story might be different.
Well thanks for the help, some good news at least. I processed it just under 24 hours ago so maybe I can still buy it today. I'll definitely register you when I get it
You probably won't have to wait until Monday though! It'll take about 24 hours for it to show up, but it will definitely be there by the end of tomorrow!
What's terrifying is you are literally describing nearly the exact situation I had. I'd transferred money from PayPal back to my account (to buy a Ps4 game...) and it didn't register online. I had to pay the overdraft fee, which sucked because it's a ridiculous amount of money for such a small accident! And you can't get it appealed. Also, send me your PsN account if you get one, I need a few smart people to play games with online.
