yea, sadly there was a reddit thread recently that mentioned Town of Salem as a frequently visited site, but no mention of epicmafia. guess we dont have any major redditors on here, but it hurts to see that we aren't the first name for mafia online... when clearly we should be, as this is mafia at its finest imo (even with all the bugs n stuff)
lucid needs to code or hands the reigns over to someone else. i understand he wants to pursue something else, but why is he holding epicmafia hostage? if someone would put time into this site it could be huge
and we dont really need a competition to just have more serious games in the form of gold heart sessions. yes, it incentivizes good play, but that reward system can be achieved on an individual basis (ex. after x amt of gold heart wins, you get a token) without a rigid competition structure that encourages cheating.
and this would all be feasible if only lucid cared about coding EM anymore
I did not read his game to see if he cheated. I just random picked a game to see how he played. I was curious but i was disappointed when i saw that he barely said 3 lines per day. He didn't really contribute , i guess he was carried. My point was that many families have many great players yet you don't see them on the leaderboard. It's just strange to see mediocre players, all from the same family on the leaderboard.
Not hard to win games when you understand meta. No reason to cast shade for playing with friends until someone digs deeper and finds conclusive proof of cheating.
I really don't know what to say. There are so many good players around and they also have friends. Actually there are a lot of great families with great players but you don't see them on the leaderboard for some reason. How comes these people from Ruse win so many games. I mean, come on, it only takes you a few minutes to radom check a game of burtonx. I don't want to be mean or anything, but he's not really the best player around. I'm not necessarily saying he's cheating. It's just a thought.

they were all accused but the report was dropped because they claimed they were just innocent middle schoolers. now yehet21 has achieved 67% town win rate at 17k points with a place on the hall of fame. completely innocent imo
They are meta-abusing the game. They only play comp games together. They run in herds. If you play exclusively with friends to help them trophy, then you are playing to their win-con. Playing to someone else's win-con is cheating. They don't have to be sharing roles to be cheating.
Imagine you were playing a poker tournament. You have 8 other people at your table and 6 of them are friends. They all know each others tells, and have no desire to eliminate each other. Would that be fair? No.
