Seriously this is a dumb thread. Passworded games are people playing a private game, which means they don't want to play with you, let them segregate themselves.

If you ban passworded games, they'll just host open games and kick people. Passworded games are the solution to that, not the problem.

The fact is that they won't go to Main Lobby. They'll just do unlocked games. I've hosted those, I've joined those, I've witnessed those. I don't know where you got the idea that they'll move, but your data is horribly incorrect. They'll stay and stir up trouble.

Also if there was a "smartness" requirement for Sandbox, explain why we have noavi policy? Middle rule? Why LK days are all spam? Why we have Terrorists who bomb their partners? I can keep going. None of those contain any form of logic, reason, or rationality. They're "for the lulz". You can't argue "smartness" (as if that's even a possible scale) when it isn't even relevant.

If password games were banned the noobs in password games would migrate to main lobby.

Plz help by banning password games. Sandbox does not need social outcasts who band together in a locked room.

kicking is not effective. many hosts of passworded games will often tab out while they wait for their friend to join. many hosts are newer people are dont know what sandbox is truly like (i sure as helI didnt). it'll end up upsetting them because people they may not like in their games keep joining. and thus, people will start yelling and causing drama and getting into fights and stuff.

and before you say "cry me a river", remember my statement of not knowing what sandbox is like. many people just see it as the first place that isnt main lobby to host games. many people just want to play a fun game of maf with their friends or whatever. so when sandboxers come in with spamming, offensive words and stuff, memes these ppl dont know, etc etc, it causes a huge hubbub. and a lot of sandboxers actually are pretty decent pregame and then heck things up in game. also a lot of these people may not even know how to kick.

its all just preventing drama and keeping peace. keep passworded games.

kicking exists for a reason. one such reason is kicking non friends. just as effective as passwords, but far more fun.

this is a stupid thread. sandbox once had no passwords when the lobby system was added. it was awful.
