I know i'm not the first person to say this, but the point of comp is to find out the best mafia player. I know a lot of u guys like this setup, but imo it would be better off just to be played ranked and not comp. I hate playing comp b/c of how overplayed this setup is, and how underplayed the actual good setups are.
Interesting argument but here is another one: Reports usually just make circles of inno battles and guilty battles. In the guide that I wrote up for the setup the auto comment I made is pretty rare unless you can always have a doc alive d2. If you play the setup enough, you'll notice most players get doc reads correct and don't have to worry about "auto" as much.

Words From Tha Straight Dope AKA The D3xtr0verse When I first wake; I administer the usual morning walk through death. No sense in abusing your lungs with pepper, I go straight for a high grade Phencyclidine with all the extras. Then I like to open the walls in the house and since it's never mine I start immediately. I can destroy an entire upstairs six bedroom penthouse in under 15 minutes, and after this one Ill be up to a thousand. And every quarter moon it seems the situation asks for a bit of the old ''demolition''. Since none of you can see I won't waste your time with special effects...for these are the hateful and shermed out adventures of a child that dared defy a conformist lifestyle!
If you're asking me on a personal level, I don't enjoy classic mafia at all though at a point I used to because I was too fearful of starting out as a comp player. I hardly play mafia anymore, but if ever I'm only playing competitive setups. But that shouldn't be relevant.
I'd like you to elaborate on this if you don't mind. Preferably privately.
I hate how one it revolves around cop every game, and autowin scenarios..comp loll
It absolutely does not revolve around cop at all. That really depends on the table you're playing in. It's actually one of the better scumhunting setups out there. As for autowin situations, what? BV has a pretty high scum winrate, and that wouldn't be possible if the setup wasn't mechanically well-balanced enough not to give needless autowin situations.

Wouldn't that hinder the site's mafia experience more than it would improve it?
You're a moron for even asking this. If you consider Classic Mafia as this site plays it a "mafia experience" you're out of your mind. All CM and it's derivative and variants can be considered are role based vote simulators.
This is evidenced by the OP. Any reasonable player of this site should have sense enough to defend a position they take, however even though he posted his thread as a question, he didn't answer or state any reason other than "over played" for having posted this in the first place.
I was speaking generally. The site's userbase isn't just forum posters and competitive mafia players, it also includes Fancy Pants-tier "training players", sandbox users, and survivor lobby players. As I sitewide moderator, I don't cater to just one of those subcommunities, I cater to them all.
