Because as Mastermind you can actually do things instead of sitting around the entire game hoping nobody kills you. Autocrat is literally a blue that everyone wants to kill.

So why do people complain about Mastermind in the Autocrat thread but then want Mastermind still in setup??? I don't get it???

Just like Autocrat, Mastermind is a loser who steals wins. The difference is Mastermind is worse because he causes a very annoying anonymous night. :^)
