A strategy tested specifically for round 269, but usually better for games with at least 14 players and enough mislynches.
Bluffing - the tactic of knowing a lot when truly you don't know anything. Can be done when you are not clear and the status of the game is that of which you symbolize a villager.
What does it accomplish?
1) When you are bluffing, you get people confused, most of the time, enough time will be used up so that you can move on to the next motif.
2) You post a bunch of messages acting like you know so much, you should get responses. These responses can aid you in deciding who could possibly be mafia.
3) You are still scumhunting. However, unlike scumhunting in public and let everyone know, which might just seem like you are trying to towntell, you are acting suspicious, but as long as there is enough room for it, you are eventually going to lose the spotlight.
4) A town player experiencing with bluffing will get frustrated. A mafia player experiencing with bluffing will get flustered and will have to put up an act, but this act should be easily caught.
5) The step that I left out every game I played so as to avoid a meta round: shouting out your deduction when the day comes to an end, if not to claim victory (or if it goes poorly, loss), or to gain a final reaction that everyone can see.
Disclaimer: Because this type of play is not considered normal, you might someone off in the process.
