Today, I was driving home from campus and I looked up at the moon. It was a really nice crescent moon so I started thinking about the moon as I drove home.
Then I started to think about how crazy it was that man has been on the moon. I mean really how amazing is that? I can't even wrap my mind around it.
Somehow humans created ships out of rocks and plants and dirt and now we can fly to the freaking moon. Somehow, we created chairs and tvs and cellphones and ping pong balls out of rocks and dirt. Idk, it's so crazy, everything is crazy.
I'm sure everyone has these kinda thoughts now and then. What blows your mind?
I saw caroline's avi and I thought it was Caels ○_○ anyway the fact that we make such huge construction from what once was rock and sand amazes me the most.

What if we are all aliens.... and there is a God and Jesus did come.... except God was just all of us aliens' father who had more knowledge technologically and mentally... and he sent Jesus down with the knowledge to heal his sick children.... and they're just watching us grow.... and when we die and "go to heaven", our alien father God revives us with his advanced knowledge and we live with him...
it blows my mind how i can move and be an entity and walk around and have my own perspective, and that other humans are around me and they are just like me and they have their own perspectives and everything and we all interact with each other. If I think about it for too long though I feel detached from my body and it scares me
yeah, it's weird to think we're just "something" wrapped in flesh walking around and thinking and making decisions. we all feel like we are unique inside our heads as if we have some perspective that nobody else understands, in reality we are all the same
Yet we're all hard-wired differently and act differently; we hold different thoughts and perform different actions
sometimes i laugh at the ridiculousness of life. we're all just trying to get by and we walk around like drones, avoiding eye contact, and sitting on our phones instead of talking with other people
Not everyone, and there's multiple reasons why some people do do this. Which again, emphasizes our differences (since there is more than one reason). A puny point perhaps, but a point.
That reminds me, I was thinking about perspective the other day and how people can hold such contrasting opinions.
Just take the recent forum debate on abortion for example. Each side (that feels strongly) is completely unable to comprehend the other sides point (myself included). It's odd how we can feel so strongly about something that we will kick and yell and scream at another person who feels the opposite way

What if everybody else is a robot and I'm the only actual human?
impossible bro sorry
That's something a robot would say
It's actually not possible though since your parents (who in your situation are robots) cannot possibly give birth to you (who in your situation is a human)
But what if I'm actually a robot and I just don't know?
Or what if the robots assimilated my parents after I was born like in The Thing?
Let's say that more than one person has this (robot) thought, since Rutab admitted to thinking of it
That would make one of you a liar if it is in fact true.
If he's telling the truth, then that makes you a robot.
How do you know Rutab is lying?
How do you know therefore, that there is only one human?

Or what if aliens just materialized in front of you then erased your memory. You would never know. And if you discovered a video of it they would just erase that too.
But what if I'm actually a robot and I just don't know?
This is similar to the brain-in-vat argument in that there is no way of truly knowing; this also goes hand in hand with the philosophical view of skepticism and I don't really agree with it, just imo
