There are so many problems with the community on this site, its downright pathetic.

i myself am gonna get berated for this. idc

1: Being rude and disrespectful to everyone not your friend is encouraged.

2: Circlejerking is encouraged

3: Anyone that gets modded and or is the admin won't ever get cut any slack from anyone. Literally, the mod position is so worthless, quit complaining about mods, its a position on a website where they work for free. If you think its so easy being bitched at all the time from losers who can't get off the website then why don't you do it.

4: Trolling runs rampant everywhere on this website, mods won't do anything about it and the players a lot of the time encourage it. (i.e Thegameguy)

5: People don't judge people for being people on this site either, they judge people from how there stats look. Literally I prefer talking to people that just don't care, because they aren't angsty and angry to everyone that happens to mess with there precious worthless piecharts.

6: Cheating investigations are done pathetically, look at this past round for an example, they make decisions it seems on what the community wants. I know I said before that berating the mods is stupid but the cheating investigations seem like an entirely different thing to me. Imo, if there's complete 100% evidence that they evidently cheated, Then they get the vio. But if the evidence isn't 100% there, then just let them be, there still is the chance you might accidentally ban someone for just playing the game. Then, when you make your decision, KEEP THE DECISION.

7: People are labeled way too easily on this website. People also don't get second chances from the community. Look at me for an example, I cheated, reported all that good and mighty stuff. Mods then said that the cheating that I, ME, MYSELF, admitted to didn't happen. But now I'm 100% labeled a cheater. I haven't cheated in a game in about 11 months now, but I'll forever be known as a cheater. Also past newby mistakes on GRSing got me lobby banned for 3 months. Apparently thats now a label placed upon me that won't ever go away.

8: This game is so heavily relied upon by skype, if you don't have yourself a skype account. Might as well download one or just self delete if you want to have a voice in the community. Hell, if your disgraced from the site itself your opinions and voice aren't even heard at all.

Pretty much what I'm saying here is, this community is terrible, if I wasn't addicted (like the majority of people on the site) I would be long gone. I saw a comment earlier today saying that someone was way to nice for EM and that there just gonna get pushed over if they don't be meaner. That was what prompted me to make this thread. That is just so pathetic.

tl dr so many problems with the community

The community is objectively rude, toxic, and bad, but apparently the people of epic mafia wants it to be that way even if it turns away new users so no use trying to change it.

Yeah the new users part just sucks. I see new users try to get involved in forum stuff and they just get turned away and ignored. I myself am guilty of this tbh.

And that wouldn't happen if this stupid "I only like my friends" mentality didn't exist.

That happens only in red heart games because they're all trying to farm. No one cares about pie in gold.

At least from my experience

5 no idea what you mean here unless you mean pie and trophies in which case it's not really a major thing

The amount of times I've been insulted because my pie chart isn't above even 55% is the whole reason for this. Maybe I should just point farm it up or some ****

cause apparently thats widely accepted by a lot of users too.

1 is a sad thing yes

2 depending on your definition can be good or bad

3 I would sympathize if it weren't for the fact that I'm of the opinion that if it weren't for the constant complaining and fixing the mods would have ruined the site in 30 different ways. So I feel like even though a terrible thing, because the mod team is small/inexperienced (compared to other websites) it's almost necessary. Unless it goes back to 1 which is sad

4 Mods are trying to fix it. Also you seem to criticize the mods a lot which contradicts your point in 3

5 no idea what you mean here unless you mean pie and trophies in which case it's not really a major thing

6 cheaters are let off the hook too easily, If anything they let too many cheaters get away. If they only banned if it's 100% then no cheater would be banned and the site would be a joke. They haven't made a mistake where they banned someone innocent that I recall

7 People take cheating seriously here

8 nothing wrong with skype. But you don't need skype, I myself rarely use it anymore really

The fact is, I'm not going all out on mods being **** on 24/7 here. I'm saying the community is toxic and rude to everyone, and there's no reason to it

I'm also not saying everyone has to be all nice and peppy 24/7 but I feel like 15% of the community that actually participates in non-games stuff (or games) is nice. The other 85% is just disrespectful to everyone but there own friends.

you know what comes with the job when you apply. don't act like this is new

if you know mods are hated before you apply, how do you expect people to magically turn their views on mods around when you get modded

if you apply to be a mod

you should be able to accept that not everyone is going to like the way you do things

dealing with hate is just part of the job

Yes but it doesn't have to be, the community literally makes it that way, I can understand constructive criticism but just straight up insults for no real reason is just unneeded

If somebody can't back up what they're saying that mod did wrong, or the reason for that mod being "bad" then why say it, not only are you making yourself seem like a ******** moron, You're also helping ruining the image of the website

here's the sich. mod team were 50/50. settled on cheating. jasprar logged on like "no lol" and undid it and went to bed. rutab stuck it to the man by resigning and then suspending flex at the last second (literally). hope this helps

HOPEFULLY the Mod team gives actual explanations and findings of their 'investigation' into this previous Round. So we know what actually went on.

#1 is my biggest pet peeve. I absolutely loathe when people go out of their way to verbally abuse someone even if the person posting was making a post relevant to the topic.

Of course they didn't, they just let him go run around doing whatever he wanted.

the mods probably didn't even ask for TheGameGuy's main account. he's an obvious banned user alt
