lmfao. happy0wns people in authority did it strictly because they love taking away things people love. there was absolutely no other reason

Also reverse mafia setups where lynches actually happen (such as must lunch variants or no fool) are actually not blacklisted, but no one likes them much, probably because they're used to TBRMS style of play
deletedover 10 years
Not necessarily the reason it's banned I'm just giving a reason why it sucks and should remain blacklisted
deletedover 10 years
If you play with your friends, you basically chooses who wins and loses since only the friends are masoned

Generally reverse mafia setups or at least TBRMS (setupID 4545) don't teach the basic elements of scumhunting which even CM/Fancy-pants manage to. It's p much a NL and mason game where friends usually mason each other causing extreme bias. The reason it was blacklisted is basically that they (not literally, but basically) expanded upon the 5 minute rule. To make a ranked game, it needed to last at least 5 minutes, which reverse mafia did. People cried though that the time was all night phases and no actual gameplay, so a new rule was created that a setup needs to have at least some day-time gameplay and not only rely on day actions. How much time you need to have at a day at minimum is still at subjective opinion, however.

omg what? at first i read it like tracker tracked stalker and then everyone got masoned, which is fair enough cause that doesnt happen often but stalker claiming is legit GT. but blacklisting a setup because people break the rules on it, instead of giving them a violation(which is what they deserve) is not the right way to go about it. otherwise any setup would be blacklisted

People started playing it this way:

1. stalker outs d1

2. everyone gets masoned

3. stalker gets kudo

a lot of people actually lose in reverse mafia. mostly the traitors who don't get masoned. i never really did understand why it got blacklisted, and i don't think it should be. since the featured setups are made to get a ton of points at once, i don't see why a balanced setup would get blacklisted for the same thing which is pointfarming. there really is no better setup to circlejerk in. for any experienced player who wants to pointfarm can just go into classic mafia

Yes but no one ever does.

Regretfully true.
