Hi, I'm American living overseas, but will be returning home soon to attend college. My parents will be staying over in Europe, so I will pretty much be on my own college wise. SO, this means I can go anywhere, really, and it won't make much a difference.
That said, I don't know if I have the grades and ability to go to a full on college yet. So, I was wondering, what about cc? Are community colleges a good option? Thanks for your imput!
good big colleges have the resources to satisfy your needs but no one is gonna come to you, you gotta seek the help yourself. i can't imagine it terribly different at a small college tbh.
You're giving advice while undermining larger schools. It really depends on your personal preference. If you enjoy a smaller atmosphere, go small. If you enjoy a large collective, go big. State/big schools aren't "worse" just because they're not "small". My top two choices were a big state school and a small private school. I chose the state school and don't regret it and don't feel like I'm being cheaped out either lol

nice to see people go on epicmafia for college advice
my strongest recommendation is to reach out to someone who works on college admissions/searches. they will be able to give you the better research methods/tools for checking which college fits your situation best... though these services themselves are usually charged by appointment.
if u look around online or especially on reddit, though, im sure you can find some appropriate databases.
depends. some community colleges are utter trash and a waste of your money. others are better. the general trend for university types is:
ivy league > private university > state university > community colleges > online colleges
this is a big generalization though, and you should search by field of study online for the higher rated places.
also geography and type of location is important... and obviously the population size of the university.
typically smaller --> more attention on you, more personal education; larger --> less personal, more large communal activities (and associated frats/sororities/clubs,grps)
and usually online courses = less quality, and TAs teaching major courses = less reliable.
again, this is overly generalized, so do specific research. it is still good to remember, though.
I don't know about the bill but if it covers enough to go to a university I would totally go for it. Apply to some good colleges, and if they accept you then you should be ready for them. I wouldn't be scared if I were you.
There's going to be a difference between the two, but it won't be because of the name. The name means nothing, but naturally two universities won't be the same and they need slightly different names at least

I like Europe though, but I need an affordable education so....
is there a difference? they're both universities so i don't see why they're different lol

Im american, not European, and the primary way im paying for college is the american GI bill ( a bill granted to american soldiers, can be passed down to family members) but it only works on american colleges so...
