Suppose you are Cash and you are town. Everybody decides to NL
You can decide who checks who and everybody will follow you.
Mafia will kill next night. If they do not, then Cops get more reports. So we are assuming that the mafia will kill.
Who should check who so that the next day you know both mafia FYPOV regardless of who the mafia kills.
1- Assume the scenario where maf keeps you alive. So you do not know the report of the dead
2- Assume the scenario where you die n2, so you know 6 reports in total.
PS: If someone can come up with a solution to this without any extra information added, then all is well. Else you can ask for a few additions to data like - both mafia will inno their check next day, or everybody will get inno or something. Or we can replace Confused cop with Villager. But right now let us see if we can solve this.
No they're not, that's the first thing I tried out. There's a few scenarios that you can cross out but I couldn't find anything that's auto if mafia plays optimally (not saying there isn't ofc)
I don't see how doing what you said is auto, but maybe I'm just missing something. Finding CCs=/= auto. If a pair includes neither real or insane, and are both town it is essentially a useless pair, who will find nothing via reports. the other pairs can CC each other unless that would mechanically confirm them, in which case I don't see how it does for all scenarios. It would be worst if pranay is part of that useless pair, let's say pranay is Confused cop (but doesn't know this).
Would investigating in that manner you mentioned still be auto no matter what? It doesn't feel that way, but idk, maybe maybe not, a little lazy to test scenarios
i have been trying to solve this, and right now i am have the same solution as bear and trying to see if that solution has any ambiguous result.

you have to assume arcbell was some role. that's where assumptions and working through every singel scenario where arcbell is a role comes into play. both kerry and rutab can be town, but they're essentially CCs if arcbell is 1 3 or 5.
but rutab and kerry can still both be town and not actually CC

it's not really that impossible to solve when you have pairs of CCs which pranay structured the situation to have. i could go in depth and see who would be confirmed mafia but i am just a bear without a care.
There is no solution because two cops will be dead and you won't have enough reports to know which kind of cop they both were, so in the 5way it'll be a guessing game and if you get it right then depending on the reports you might have a clear in threeway barring any failed blitz attempts or clears generated via timer and kicks
You win, I couldnt solve it using the approach I wanted to. I want to know the solution.

Firstly, I'm not ten, I'm twelve, turning thirteen in a few months. Secondly, your IQ never changes as you get older, meaning that when I was one, I had an IQ of 162. I only recently got tested. I highly doubt you have an IQ as high as me which is why I suggest you stop trying to outsmart me.
Here's the thing : Since there's the random cop in the play, there's always this 50/50% chance for a guilty or an inno, so if mafias claim late enough they can get it away from the confirmed zone - That is, Play on the possibility of another inno or guilty to hide one of them in the possibility that the confused cop is alive or dead. The other cop reports wont metter, since you can't lynch on the mylo, and thus no cop is clear except Cash - who can be, fypov, any cop (even a guilty and an inno can get him the flipped cop - And you have no way to prove they died unless the random cop died, since they could flip real or unreal regardless - You have no other cop clears except cash). The only possibility where they dont, is where it's confirmed the confused cop has died. This scenario occures when you have a cop clear ( Only guilty - paranoid) aside to cash, and then another crazy cop clear (Only guilty on dead -Confused). Then, you can analyze the cops to understand who are the 2 fake cops and who is the random / Other one - That's based on the reports of the clear cop who's clear-confused. If he had an inno before, that person is confirmed mafia - otherwise, it's a confirmed inno. On a confirmed inno, you can base off another line of reports to get another cop - Or, with a guilty, you have a 50%/50% on the mafia (Since you dont know which is the last cop - paranoid, normal, insane - And it's not deducable with 2 clears if mafia claimed inno/guilty well enough, checked dethy for that). Thus, you have only 33% in a certain scenario (the inno on the last unclear cop alive fypov), which has 50%(Cop with a possible guilty died d1 to get paranoid confirmed) * 25% (Both mafias claimed with inno on an unclear position before the paranoid outted) * 15% ( Chance to kill the random's report) * 50% (Chances that report will be a guilty) - Achieving a total 0.3~% To have an auto fypov. It's barely existant - but it's actually there...
@glacial-i wonder how you managed to find mafia without deciding a scenario. i wonder what mathematics you used. i wonder if you ever went to school. everybody can be maf.
