I have a question

Are anime girls suppose to be Asian or White? or like anime characters in general, cuz anytime I see them they're literally the most white things ever but they all talk Japanese I assume in their animes. And a ton of them have blonde hair too so I can never tell if they're suppose to a be an asian with blonde hair or just a white person. I don't watch anime but I was always confused by this

anime characters dont have a lot of features to really distinguish between races aside from the obvious ones like skin color. most anime are set in japan, so they're mostly japanese characters
