the only people that advocated the merge were the crosseyed goons of training lobby and a handful of forum warriors that consider themselves the veterans of em despite the fact that they don't play, the people that actually played comp and were happy with it (silent majority) remained silent

The merge was the single best thing to happen in this site in years. I dunno about anyone else but I like it when my games fill. Plus, every serious competitive player has been an advocate of merging the lobbies basically since they split.
please, bring back comp lobby, i hate playing with people i don't know, come on, please, i'm begging you, please, come on
In due time the newbies of today will be the trophy winners of tomorrow. A merge like this takes a lot of time to fully see the benefits of it. Tables are filling faster than they have in months and more comp games are getting played.
No, it doesn't right now. If it becomes less scumsided then it'll be fine.
All of the mods on that team backed the decision and all had more experience than me on the site and in moderation. I wanted to make guidelines written down since everyone had different interpretations of them. Now with Main Lobby and rules clearly written, everyone can be on the same page and it mitigates the opportunities for future bias against setups in competition because it's clearly written down and being followed.
A&D also fits in the guidelines. it has been played competitively forever. and you are not fit enough to determine what is competitive. you are obviously not experienced enough to make that call either. A&D is a popular setup played since ever. and banning when going scumsided is not in the guidelines at all. and if you changed the guidelines on your own with agreement of the noober mods who just agree to things you say because you use words that dont actually matter when we actually play, then you are doing a very filthy job and you wont last.
Dawn of the Sheep was not as scumsided when I comped it in the Training Lobby round. It was closer to 45/55 for mafia then and also had less than 100 plays or so. I made a note in the catalogue that it's too scumsided now.
Also everything else you listed fits within the guidelines posted, DOTS is the only one that had a huge shift.
and you talk like you have the right to decide what setups we can play. its like all the old players are dumb and you are the smartest and you can decide that they are playing the wrong setup. no one has any problems with that setup. and they always have the option of not playing it if they dont want it. and if its so scumsided then why do you worry about it. town wont get those 70 points all the time. if they keep getting it the point payout will go down. the average point gained will be 60 because thats how it is programmed.
