Well this is news to me. I didn't know that gaf cheated. I wasn't there when dez interviewed him. I skimmed through the chat and didn't read closely last night. I saw that he said the right things to her questions and seemed to exhibit the behaviors that would make for a good mod, so I said okay. I genuinely never knew he cheated. He was recommended to me by another mod and I believe he was discussed briefly in mod chat one day sometime a week or so ago. Cheating was never mentioned.
I'm at work now but I'll fix this when I get home. I think this is just a misunderstanding and we can sort it out. There's no need for everyone to step down.
I am however largely at fault here if he did cheat. I am embarrassed that I was so negligent during the hiring process and I feel pretty awful about it. I am sorry to my mods who I admittedly have left out of the mod selection process quite a bit. I'm always open to suggestions for new mods and meeting with them. I started moving away from having open conversations as on earlier iterations of this team, it was very difficult to mod people as mods felt they could veto people they simply didn't like, and it made my job more difficult. The team has changed for the better largely in the past month and I should be involving them more in the process.
This is really my fault, I simply don't have enough time right now to do as good of a job as I need to. Please be patient and allow me to sort this out. I found out both of my jobs will be ending in about two months today and now this - I'm a bit flustered but please just bear with me and we can talk it over.

To be fair Retti you paused the round to OT a report. But refused to re-pause the round when it was appealed with different evidence.
That was an embarassing moment for the mod team in general.

listen here you god damn moron. i dont *** care if you dont know *** *** about the stupid situation you know very *** well that if there is a REPORT THAT EFFECTS A RUN it needs to be moderated BEFORE THE RUN IS OVER. i have never seen a bigger group of idiots than the mod team we have right now and i haven't even kept up with the mods and forums for long. why are you even a mod anyway if you dont know what the *** you're doing? do you have any common sense? no you dont because you're a *** biased idiot who made up a *** excuse to not pause the round when an appeal hadn't gone through yet. quit the mod team you have just *** embarrassed yourself and i don't even feel sorry about this. congrats on letting a meta abuser win a trophy. this is what the site has come to. what a shame. and idc about any *** i get for this comment (yes cantank im talking about you) i really don't i am beyond annoyed
