B: Have an unusual fascination with seeing huge disparities in talent, and seeing a bastardized version of a familiar game played at a much higher level elsewhere.
And that's about it.
Oh and if you have a deep-seated antipathy for people who have achieved fame and fortune.
Part of the thing with college is that, for the most part the players are just cogs in a system and have no individuality although for some reason this stupid country still gets obsessed over the likes of Tebow and Manziel.
Let's just say the white media can control the image of what they want representing their sport better with the college game.

Maybe humanities is, but not STEM. You can't fake an electrical engineering degree.
College is not supposed to just be a job-training system. It's supposed to be a place where smart people can collaborate on amazing new ideas without interference.
QRich - I'm sensing you didn't attend college? Why not?

You just said they're doing it to get a free education. But they're also beig exploited? Which is it?
You seem to be trying to compare this tonslavery, and at the risk of falling for your race-bait, I ask you this: would you be OK with plantation-style slavery so long as the slaves were paid? No you wouldn't. Th system is corrupt, and it ruins te experience of actual students. It needs to be abolished.
But the problem with this is that this has a zero percent chance of happening while the alternative has actually a decent chance of happening especially now...it's already in the works.
Of course the NCAA won't abolish it... But the PEOPLE should. Athletics have no place in higher education. Start a separate minor or development league if you want, but keep it the hell away from universities. It's cancer.
Only a small percentage...I think less than 10 percent ever play a snap even on a practice squad for a pro team. Most college kids that play are playing for the of it of it for a free education.
The NFL is the most fuckretarded, employee-hating league in the entire world so no...the players actually cant just not try and make millions of dollars.
First of all there is actually a very small percentage of players in the NFL making "millions of dollars" annually, and a huge majority of those players are the established veterans who had to..and continue to have to bust their to maintain a roster spot for years.
Only around 40 of the hundreds of players added to the NFL each year make decent money...all the late round picks make less than a million dollars and thats before taxes.
If Greg Hardy blew out his knee tommorow the motherf****er wouldn't have enough money to retired and would need to work at Staples or some s****.....given the dude is an All-Pro player for going on 2 years but he's made less than 1.5 million dollars in salary before taxes. Now given the lifespan of a pro athlete is very short...the goal is to make as much money as you can so that when your career which you have invested your whole life into ends, you can pay your bills and feed your family Obviously you cannot do that on about 800k after taxes.
Ergo the idea that Greg Hardy and the hundreds of players like him have the luxury of relaxing like it's just a big joke is utterly laughable and you should feel bad for even suggesting it.

Paying the players is a horrible solution. Abolish the system together.
In my masters degree engineering studies, I had classes of 20+ where I was LITERALLY the only American. Our universities are failing, and in 30 years we're going to be screwed.
Chinese universities don't waste time and effort and lower admission education standards to try to shoehorn sports into educational facilities, which makes no sense.
Hey let's put bowling leagues in Barber Shops!!!! So stupid.
the NFL is full of people who have too big of an ego and dont try their hardest to play because they know that regardless of their winning and losing they're getting paid millions and millions of dollars. NFL players have no reason to play. College players are more competitive because their goal is to make it in the NFL. They have something to aim for and the lame NFL players do not.
The NFL players have no reason to play? The Superbowl isn't a goal for them anymore?
even if they dont win the superbowl they still get paid millions of dollars anyways...

Hahahahaha that call was the best thing that could've happened to the striking referees. Man that was awesome. Packers ended up not winning the division because of it.
Of course the classless Seadderall Seahawks celebrated as if they actually deserved the win. Nothing new for slimeball Pete Carroll.
I didn't watch any of their preseason games. Did they put Rodgers in?
they did a little
They should have put him in a bit more. He needs to shake off the rust. I'm indifferent to the Packers but I respect him as a QB so he needs to pull his together.
