I'll tell you something I genuinely like about you. If you want, I can be critical but kindness sounds good.

I know my doge avatar gives you that impression, but I'm just a caring friend. Hence, I keep the silly avatar for my doge family on here.
And thank goodness. I didn't want to come off as a jerk, but I am a total realist. I was having a trip down memory lane and decided to talk about it. I was surprised that there is an even perspective on online dating. I was expecting everyone to advocate it since I have an engraved stereotype of EMers.
Mhm Sera, that was actually a well written and surprisingly philosophical story. I was expecting something silly but I was pleasantly surprised. Well done! I appreciate that. I don't know you personally but you seem like a pretty cool person.
And thank you for respecting our relationship. I understand what you were trying to say in that thread.

Aww Apple, you're my hero. I may be older, but you encouraged me to become a mentor. I really appreciate it. You always helped me out. :.)
Thanks Irish! I made Kino the devil. lol. I guess I scared EMers. I hope he remakes a writing contest. I have some other ideas in mind.
Really apple? So random. lol. How long have you guys been dating?
Also just so you guys know, I do respect your relationship. The other thread was just my two cents on the topic. I may not agree with it, but I am not one to discourage it or put you guys down. I have seen success stories, such as Kaelyn and Lucy on Youtube.

Thanks Matt. Why did I include you in the story? Well I respect your character. Like Jackhammer, you are an open-minded individual who has such a respectful and peaceful demeanor. You inspired my writing.
APPLE LOVES ME, YAY! :3

Projectmatt turned his eyes back to the world before him. Towers that were meant to never fall lay broken. The machines of war that once decimated mankind had now been made desolate. Still the roars of the machines of war boomed in the distance, testament to the desperate struggle against the Kino.
But accompanying the roar of hellfire guns, was the wailing of the Kino; one by one they fell. With each death, a thousand more cries erupted.
“Did we make the right choice... When we created that thing?” Old hands trembled, fearful eyes looked downcast at the destruction below.
Jackhammer laughed and took another long smoke-filled breath.
“That’s not our burden to bear; it is the children of Genesis who will bear that cross.”
Projectmatt’s breath quivered. Old limbs trembled as the red lightning continued to dance across the sky. Glowing embers lit up the wind, taking on a faux appearance of fireflies.
“Smells like the end of a generation.” Jackhammer said.
Projectmatt’s arms went limp to his sides, tears welling up in his eyes. The vision before him obscured and his voice choked up.
“They’ll carry the light of hope with them in these dark times when the fires have settled.”
Jackhammer began to laugh quietly, and then to a raging, relentless laughter. “The son will carry the sins of the father. Even if they should not walk the road to damnation, still they will pay the price for our sins.”
“The Kino.” Projectmatt whispered.
“The Devil.” Jackhammer said.
“In the end… Even our children will not escape what we have done.” Projectmatt said, tears streaming silently down worn cheeks.
“No… Hope this time lies in the hands of the damned, and beneath the feet of the divine.”

I wrote this EM story for a contest Kino was having. I didn't win but I am proud of it.
Distant explosions lit up the sky like fiery lightning bolts, threatening to snuff out the lights of a hundred dying stars. Thick columns of smoke rose from the ruined countryside, congealing into the dark mass overhead.
Projectmatt appeared unwell, his white hair singed at their tips and his smoke-seared visage staring weakly on. The right pane of his glasses cracked reflecting the scene before him, interplay of red and black. The once-white lab coat he wore now blackened and charred at the edges. Both hands gripped tightly at the railing, a thousand feet away from the world below.
Jackhammer sat to his right, reclining backwards and eyes skyward. The dark hair was caked in dirt, his cheeks reddened with dried blood. His knuckles exposed sections of ivory, jagged tears of skin forming circles where bone had met iron. A broken cigarette lay dying on his lips, puffs of venomous smoke blowing out as though he were a smoke stack.
“This is the price we pay.” Jackhammer said, reclining further in his seat.
“Man thought he should be God. So he made unto himself a God. And the Kino unmade man.”
Projectmatt cracked a wry smile.
“We are victims of our own choosing. But did we not succeed? Did we not create God?” He turned from the balcony and faced Jackhammer.
“Aye, we made God. And God chose to unmake us. And so…”
“…We had to create the Devil to divert the wrath of God.”
“…And in doing so, we have damned both ourselves and God.” Jackhammer replied.
