I'm very happy to announce that Lucid has built a feature called "Featured Setup" which allows winners on any selected setup to receive double points for wins.
The goal of this would be to feature different setups in order to diversify what is played and to give people more exposure to different competitive setups in a more laid back red heart environment, with the enticing bonus of double points.
This week's featured setup will be Voltron Doesn't Like It ! I'm hoping in the future we can do more full-fleshed features about the setups (info on roles, basic strats, etc)
Please vote in the poll for what you'd like to see next week. We'll be changing the setups every Friday for now, and possibly adding more to the rotation as time goes on. Stay tuned!
This is only for red hearts and not for gold hearts
If you have any questions/comments/suggestions, please let me know!

Doubt Each Other is the better version of TEO, ya know.
what about this setup? https://epicmafia.com/setup/572738. I actually have a liking to this setup and then people just stopped playing it. what about a lil category with good setups people don't normally play like that one. (This Means War)
https://epicmafia.com/topic/59973 - I'd probably have a poll from setups in each of the main categories (maybe pick 2 to vote between for that week) or let mods select their favorites and write about them (also would be good for getting people more familiar with the team).
Well it would make sense to Feature any setup introducing and developing scumhunting (I assume that's why VDLI was featured). On that basis: O2R Cry n Oh B2NS
More 'PR' based setups: BV Jan 2.0 Sweet Dreams Back to Basics JATW
'Newer' Setups - you could ask for players to submit theirs, mods/admin check the setup out for balance/decent play/lasting more than 30 seconds and if they feel the setup is 'worthy', feature it. Could even make this aspect of selection a bit of a competition - weekly 'featured setup' comp?
Maybe a list of 'old school' tried and tested setups, and then a list of newer, less played setups (showing decent balance early on) and then a vote or something? Either a lobby poll or a pie chart on the forums (though less read by the majority of players in Main).
Yeah that's a good idea, Emmerr. I'll play around and see how many we can feature at once.
I'd love to try and get the community involved in the selection process and do something like the New Setup Initiative too. Possibly feature 2 "tried and true" setups and then 1 new one, and write up blurbs about each one.
Lots of possibilities, glad that everyone seems to be enjoying it so far.
But for example, if I had the filter, it'd be nice not having to look at the weird unranked setups that take up a lot of space and that I don't really have interest in joining. Being able to only see red and gold hearts would be nice.
It's more of a luxury than anything else and mostly is geared for people who don't want to keep remaking gold heart tables if they're slow to fill. We'll see if it's even really needed after a few rounds.
filter just seems kinda meh to me, Your basically going to split the lobby, which was the entire point of the merge, to not split them. Leave it the way it is, its fine.
Possibly next week. Not sure how we're going to go about the selection process. I'm curious to see how popular this is first so we'll take it slow and adjust.
I've mentioned this to him and I'll ask him again next opportunity I get. I don't know if this is a high priority for him, although I've seen a number of people request it.
I suggest making a petition with all details for the filter, concept layout/design (Since I think you made this already?). I'll sticky it to the lobby so it gets noticed and we can gauge how many people would actually use it.
