civilian mechanics

almost 11 years

mechanics of the civilian make the role hard to fit into the conventional setup format without making the game entirely luck based or swingy.

the only solution to this currently seems to be populating the entire town with them.

eg. if you put 1 civ in a setup, the entire setup revolves around protecting the civ.

if you have 2, it becomes a luckbased game with no actual point.

if you have 3 or 4 (say you want it to be the blue replacement) mafia is near guaranteed a win after 1 mislynch on a mislynch setup, and the role is useless entirely if you didnt have a mislynch to start with.

if you have 5+ the setup becomes viable, but you have no room for PRS

suggested fix: make the mafia win mechanic activate when all civs are dead.

this way you can have 2-4 in a setup, instead of essentially being forced to have 1 or 5+

EXACTLY. Omg, I wanted to make my own jailer vs gator set up, and i wanted to add civilian, but it was just so hard i gave up. This would make it much easier. <3 Fully support.

"eg. if you put 1 civ in a setup, the entire setup revolves around protecting the civ."

I think that is the most fun way of playing with a civ. See

well, i just tested the masoned civ death scenario. if the role stays as is, maybe a conversion setup would work.

Im not sure how much this will help , but it's an improvment to say the least.

or we can just file this under "nobody cares" and let the civ become another role that will never be taken seriously.
