That sounds pretty terrible.

Dealing with people who are bad is part of the experience. I think we'd be better off if those people actually tried to welcome them and help them get better rather than writing them off as noobs.

Splitting the lobbies just made new players less inclined to push themselves to become better at the game from what I've seen. I honestly feel like there haven't been too many new people who have gotten involved in Comp since I did back in November.

I guess a lot depends on what you really want. This is sort of like the hardcore Nintendo fans complaining that the Wii's controller made any sort of "hardcore gaming experience" sort of difficult. It's the small group of diehards vs. the larger group of casuals imo.

Merging would help make comp less of a meta-fest too.

As a user of Epicmafia and not as an administrator, I think one ranked lobby endorsed by the site and moderated by the site mods is much better than the current state of things.
