We could give the mods more work to do ... lol ... we could have a kudo mod. Every game dishes out a kudo if two votes for the same person or three people vote. Every game that does this goes before a mod for approval or not. The only time a mod can say who gets the kudo or no one gets the kudo is if, less than 80% of the vote is split OR if less than 80% but more than 2/3 people voted. ( this is a horrible idea btw.)
Seriously, my idea was just to even get more kudos out there.
If we want kudos to be WORTH something ... then I have no clue; keep it the way it is.
The reason we can't do Miloo7's way is because if you get bumped on the server or your computer resets or anything and you can't get back to or find that last game ... you will never be able to join another game again. Maybe his idea would work if it was a 1 minute time out, to join another game, if you don't kudo. or 30 seconds. So you basically have to wait 30 seconds to join the next game if you don't kudo. Also, as stated, not every game deserves a kudo.
I agree with Miloo7, this is better. Because in every game I see people, who have done nothing special, getting random kudos (for friendships or idk). So they could get a normal kudo after 100 single kudo votes, but that kudo would be meaningless. So only popular people would get kudos, like karma, and this isn't what kudos should be.
The kudos system should be reworked some type of way (I don't know if this is the way) because the current system isn't effective. Nobody gives them anymore unless someone begs for it, even if a person heavily carries a game. Either change it or remove it in my opinion. People like to stupidly judge people based on kudos when they are meaningless imo.
Mmm, but kudos aren't necessarily always required, nor deserved in every single game. It should still be a choice, and perhaps instead of giving them to individual team members, they could go to the entire team.
MG is right. Nobody nominates anyone for kudos anymore (Not that I was there when people actually did that). This is a good idea. I just came up with this other solution to having more kudo nominations. In order to leave the game -instead of just clicking on 'leave Game'- the player has to nominate someone for a kudo in every game with the possibility of nominating 'No one'. I'll add this to training's 'Making user exp...' form post.
