Announcement from Lucid

I was informed just now to make this announcement regarding the future of the site.

Lucid has told me that if he does need to shut down the site for financial reasons, he will give a month's notice beforehand.

This is not the say that the site will shut down, but in the event that it does, lucid will be giving us all a month's notice before he closes down the site. There is no current time frame when/if the site will shut down at all, but if it does happen, he will be giving us all a month of notice beforehand.

I'm sorry it's come down to this. All we can do is hope that we can keep the site afloat and that lucid can continue to support it.

there was this game i played religiously for several months called interstellar war and the owner closed it down because he didn't have time to update it and support the site while supporting his new family and it crushed me

That's awesome. Thank you lucid.

I think a lot of us would be more than satisfied with a week's notice if it were a financial burden to you, just in case you ever start wondering if a month is too much.
