Anyway before the rule didn't include gold hearts for lobby camping for a reason, now it's included. New rule change: I'll include how I asked moderators to handle this. The problem with this rule change (and changing the rules in general) is that now the mods can now get a lobby camping vio to another and say they are right. Before the rule change if they gave someone lobby camping and it was obvious bs we could call it out as bs and they couldn't defend it without looking ridiculous because we could point out what the rule said. Now they can give a lobby camping vio and say "multiple mods have decided this is lobby camping, deal with it" and we can't point to the rules to say its bs because in the rule it says its trivial and mods decide. So now they can throw a hissy fit and vio someone and they won't get hate for it. Now as an avid mod hater I find this to be bs. They basically gave themselves more power to bs people and get away with it and you guys should be mad.

i agree with these lines too. the wording of this new rule gives them too much flexibility. I think that the rule should explicitly say that it should only be used in severe cases such as when harassment or cheating has been involved (e.g. they are throwing against you and its documented).
lobby camping should also require the reporter to prove that they could have joined another open table and that they joined just to like harass the player reporting. like if i was going to x game to just yell at y and insult them over and over again that is lobby camping. joining the only open table and playing normally with them is not!

this was what it was but i was getting harassed with people refusing to play with me a few months ago and the mods had given me restraining orders from playing with like 5 people that just did not like me and i got lobby camping vios initially for saying that i would continue to play with them because i could not fill a table otherwise.
so yeah the rule was this, but they tried to change it for their own purpose, because the rule's writing was vague

the op was wrong about people standing up to bad decisions on lobby camping. i was like banned from playing with 1/2 of em and no one really fought for me. this rule needed changed, and it should only be used for extreme cases where harassment vios were involved or something like this
the actual writing of the new rule needs fixed though. Again this should be used only in extreme cases where harassment was involved or throwing against someone was documented. right now the wording is too flexible and lets mods give this vio to like everyone based on their opinion. it needs to be changed to only be used after an extreme situation occurred like harassment.

also mods i think that you need to seriously look at the lobby camping harassment vio lengths. harassment vios stay for 6months but like how long are you expected to avoid each other? soluciones and i had a huge fight for a month and had notes for harassments and told to stay away from each other. we made up within a month though and were playing with each other. if we got in a fight again though, we might have been eligible for a lobby camping vio based on the rules? if you ban people from playing with each other, there needs to be an end date
Yeah, it was to put the rule into more understandable and transparent terms for both mod and user. The rule hasn't technically changed. I guess we just didn't tune it to the level we needed to for Panda to understand. Instead, he decided to throw a hissy fit and mute the people who could explain it to him.

#1 - The new rules have been around for at least a week. That's not the game that prompted the rule change.
#2 - The rules were updated to be more practical & fair. Why should people be mad over this, when there's going to be less people getting reported/vio'd?
Rather than punish players and force them to make their own lobbies which wouldn't fill because someone said "ew I don't like playing with u stay away from me", we basically want this rule to cover more extreme forms of harassment on the site -- where someone is actually joining all of your games specifically to grief you.
Unfortunately the only person I see throwing a needless hissy fit here is you. Again, if you have a problem with the decisions we moderators make, you are more than welcome to submit an appeal for it through the report system instead of crying about how corrupt the mods are on the forums lol....
