A strategy I've used as mistletoe is to just claim cop day 2 if I found people of different alignments on Night 1. I ask town to sanity check for me. They'll never know that i'm really mistletoe.
This is the alternative to trying to town-side.

D1 maybe but any point after you're willingly letting them have a run for victory

Mistletoe can help town though. I think they are low priority when it comes to lynching, especially early game.

Mistletoe can't win with town and if someone outs themselves as MT you should treat them like a mafia outing.

Terrorist ~ Don't bomb someone unless you are being targeted, otherwise you are helping town.
Cop~ Don't out d1, you don't know your sanity and just telling maf who to kill
Yak~ Yak n2, it makes everything claimed d1 null and void
