ya but in the past i've caught myself saying stuff i really don't mean for the sake of agreeing with people i'm talking to in the moment and i feel like crap for doing so. the opportunity comes up a lot when you have lots of friends, many of which who don't particularly like each other.

I think one of the biggest mistakes people make is staying objective. Ultimately, situations need to be assessed with personal subjectivity and experience in mind. That is of course unless there is irrefutable evidence which creates an impermeable black mark on someone's character.
