Why you banning my setup, brah?

I thought about it for awhile before creating it and after playing it several times, it's a lot of fun and pretty balanced. Everyone playing it agrees and there's even a strat someone drew up for it. Why it was blacklisted from ranked? I asked nicely in the lobby for some mod feedback on what could be changed but now I want some justice on this shiz.

I'll unblacklist it so it gets a bit more plays. But if it doesn't even out a bit in like ~30 plays, i'll have to blacklist again.

Chuchu - thanks very much for your close examination. If the blacklist is lifted you should draw up a strat or just c/p what you posted here. If I get specifics on what I need to change those will likely be public to adjust.

Gerry did you read anything that was posted? Chuchu0 wasn't damning of the setup. Did you look at the setup or read the strat to understand it? WTF is up with this man? Tell me very specifically what I need to do to get this legal and I'll do it.

Well yeah, you should balance it. Try making a 2nd version that's more balanced. :)

I think it looks like an alright setup, don't know why mods would ban it.

The 1st and the 4th setups will be the most clear out of all the setups as one will have the plebeians out with bread while the latter would have the Oracle out.Of course the second and the third setups will be more indistinguishable if the bomb doesn't out; however in my opinion it will be relatively easy to know which setup you are in.

The only main concern that may be brought up with this setup like said before is how Santa is able to confirm their item on someone, then yet again what can be better for the mafia is that they cc the PRs instead which require less risk.

Sorry if this was a jumbled mess, but I think this setup is one that is pretty balanced overall with both sides not at a true advantage.

(I got bored, I'm sorry for wasting ten minutes of my life ;-;)

2nd Setup (Doctor, Hooker, Voodoo)
This setup reminds me a lot of Classic as the whole concept still rides on mafia cc'ing the investigator role which in this case is presumably Santa and Voodoo. There are of course minor differences which we have Hooker who is able to role block, Santa who should always be giving vest on the first night, and Voodoo.... who does their voodoo craft. Keeping in mind this, this gives a much more Guns and Hookers feel as you don't truly know who's telling the truth about being hooked. Personally, this is the most unfair out of the setups as Santa can confirm the vest on someone while the mafia can't do this in this setup; however there is still a chance that the person that was given a vest is mafia and can easily defend their mafia member.

3rd Setup (Bomb, Silencer, Spy):
If there was a nk, more than probably it's this setup as the bomb is still present. If Spy were to kill the bomb, the Silencer would be in an automatic loss. Keep in mind that Santa will be outing with claim if guilty (sorry about before, I'm assuming that Santa is outing with guilty), then Silencer is the one to CC. It may be best that Silencer tries to fake silencing as everyone seems to fall for that and claim they are Santa. Same problem with the items that Santa gives out sadly. If bomb outs, Silencer still ccs (just added this tidbit).

4th Setup (Oracle, Sniper, Voodoo)
Orc is the only real clear here and should out! This is the only clear for this setup! This gives opportunity to scumhunt while Voodoo tries their hardest in getting their target to say the word. Sniper is to cc the Santa if they were to out though in my opinion.

At first glance, the setup itself seems very complex if you haven't read the strategy, and let me say that after reading it helps so much to actually understand the setup as a whole. I want to go over each variant first before talking about the whole setup as a whole.

1st Setup (Baker,Voodoo,Fabricator):
It will be more than obvious when this is the variant the village is playing as at the very least, one towns person will have a bread and out the setup (hell, even the Baker can out by saying they have bread while at the same time giving both bread to one person; however that is very risky as if they were to give both breads to a mafia member, they would know who to kill). As Fabricator is in this setup, both gunned parties would have to out their guns which would then lead to the Santa outing with report and who they gunned. Of course, the Fabricator would have to cc with stating report and with who they gunned. From there, it's pure scumhunting between the ccs. For Voodoo, they just carry on with the regular routine, voodoo someone with a word that isn't obviously said in conversation and hope that your target dies. Honestly, I feel like this variant on its own is well-done and I really like it out of all the other variants.
