Should cheaters/banned be mods?

Riddlerabout 11 years ago

Should people who have cheated and/or been banned for any reason in the past be moderators?

This site used to refuse anyone who has been banned for any reason even if they were unbanned later during mass unbannings.

Now it seems as though the admin is cool with it, but what does the community think?

[in case you're wondering, togepi the moderator is both a formerly banned user and a cheater. sims the admin is her friend and trusts her but we all know how that has gone in the past]

Cheaters should not be allowed to be moderators. That's like saying murderers should be let back into society.
are you saying that cheating on epicmafia is as heinous as murdering someone?
In my opinion no, but for some people, yes. Some people play Epic Mafia like their lives are on the line. Riddler is one of them.

She never did anything worthy of a ban, meanwhile notorious villain Kelly still walks this earth and once had 20~ active violations in a 6 month period.
are you saying that we should kill kelly?

Also, get the lore correct. I was never meant to be banned in the first place. As soon as Lucid realized I was banned he messaged me and unbanned me. Mad because you could never.
You tell em', tiger.

As long as they don't get too much trash on the street, I'm fine with my garbage men/women being reformed felons.

If a mod cheated and/or did other nefarious EpicMafia deeds without getting caught, would you have a problem with their moderation
deleteddeletedabout 11 years ago
Consider this: throwing mafia games does not equate rap
Natalieabout 11 years ago
Haha that timing was sweet. I shot down your point before you even made it.

Not going to vote in the poll because I think it's a grey area; someone who has cheated or been banned for something substantial should definitely be investigated more thoroughly before assigned a moderator position on the site. This is the protocol that I've seen followed at a number of game/forum sites that I've frequented over the years, and I think it works well. Everyone makes mistakes; what determines character is how you recover from them.
being logical isn't one of riddler's strong suits
Ex-criminals, no matter how distant in the past they were convicted, are banned from ever being cops.

Sure, they can be forgiven eventually, but they'll lose that employment opportunity.
She isn't applying to be a police officer that gets government benefits, she's applying to be an epicmafia moderator for free.

If a mod is cheating while they're moderating, that's an issue.

Otherwise who the hell actually cares? I think it was Slow who said the mod team is better equated to a garbage crew than a police force.
