Oh, just to clarify, in the case of this game, when the cc mafia said to me "I told you to shut your mouth" that was the response I was looking for. To me, he was implying he was my partner and he told me to not give away my affiliation via stupid remarks. I had considered this a slip on his part.
Anywho I don't mean to sound overly defensive, but baiting with claims that don't make strict logical sense seems to be an effective strategy that I would like to employ in the future, but without knowing where the boundary between baiting and reportable trolling lies, I will abstain.
Hey, I'm not interested in disputing a 1 hour ban or anything, but I would like to know how scum-baiting ingame is differentiated from trolling. In this game I knew full well my remarks were silly, their premeditated purpose was to attract mafia into bw on me. It ended up working, but the rest of the town did not see past it. I have seen many games where strong players will say illogical things for the purpose of reading reactions, this is what I aimed for. I understand that theres a point at which this becomes destructive to the game atmosphere, and not helpful to my win objectives, but I guess more clarification is needed. In the mean time I will refrain from saying things like "I am the mafia" to catch players trying to point fingers at an obviously silly claim.
