It is complicated only your mind. I never once accused him of being racist. No one in their right mind would expect a person to know that someone with a Caucasian avatar is actually African American. I was merely stating why I found the comment offensive. I never implied that he knew my race and tried to spur me. That was what YOU implored that I said. Which is inaccurate, like you usually are.
I understand Granny that cultures differ and that words have different meanings depending on where you are. However, because of the presence of the r word on the comment, it leads me to believe that the term monkey was used as an insult to my intelligence, and not in a joking way. I made the report based on what personally offended ME more. So I should've filed this report exactly how I filed it, because this is MY report based on MY feelings and MY background. I would appreciate it if in the future, you would refrain from trying to instruct me on how to file reports based on YOUR feelings, since they are of no value in a case where I am the victim.
Being called a monkey isn’t offensive to everyone lmao Where I am from it is meant without any malice at all - “you cheeky monkey”. As for the R word, he will definetly be getting a violation for that but you should have just kept to that word rather than getting offended about the monkey comment.
Granny, being called a monkey is most likely offensive to anyone. However I was just explaining why i find it offensive even more so. Also do you have your eye on being mod? Because you sure seem to keep getting involved in reports that have nothing to do with you, and in which you have nothing useful to contribute. If you are trying to be a mod maybe you should focus on the actual issue of johnclay using the r word instead of tunneling on a additional fact that had no bearing on the inappropriateness of what was said.
While it is pretty racist to called a person of colour an ape / monkey or something - you have a white person as your avatar. How do you expect anyone, especially a no avi, to know that you’re from a minority group?
For someone who goes around insulting other people's intelligence, it really shows your lack thereof to use a word that has been unacceptable for awhile.
