The carol wasn't useful because it had Harumaki in it and there's no set number of mafia included in the carol. With that being said, anyone left could have been mafia with Harumaki and lynching outside of confirmed is perfectly fair. He misread the carol (and participated sufficiently before that) and lynched based on his incorrect reading. I don't think it's worthy of a violation based on the fact that:

#1 it was a small, yet honest mistake
#2 he had no intention to lose and had participated sufficiently before that

Even if this was isp it wouldnt be a refund because it wasnt autowin if he didnt miss the carol. Missing something is never isp. I once drove the kill to myself into autoloss. That doesnt mean it was isp. Goof ups are part of the game. If you want evidence for that i can give it to you. Even the best players can mess up. I am known for my knowledge of mechanics and i still messed up. Ive misread a report once where i said katie was guilty when i had report on someone else named with k. Whoever were the two mods who refunded this probably didnt think it through subjectively and looked at it objectively. This game is played by humans and not machines. Refunds shouldn't be given this easily. Refunds are meant to be given when autowin is lost due to serious offense. Jeff was clear and he was gonna decide the lynch anyway. Mods have no right to decide on what basis he can decide the lynch. It was his to decide. That guy could have been maf despite torread being in carol.

If you can’t moderate something both ways then it’s not right. Lynching outside as the clear is never ISP, regardless of whether or not they do it for the wrong reason. A misread gave me the wrong person in a 50/50, nonetheless not a single rule was broken in doing this. You know how many people are lynched in every other setup because a report is misgiven? Hi. You guys know very well how worked up i get when i lose due to such things and how hard and diligently i pursue a refund when it is due. I was at the losing end here. If this was a vio i would have reported it. This was a mistake. A mistake anyone can make. If he had intent to throw he would pass this off as a rxn test. He admitted his mistake. This wasnt even auto. This was lylo and his vote would decide the lynch anyway. So it doesnt matter what report he outs. That person could have been lynched even if he didnt miss the carol. This isnt isp because he did everything he could to win. He just messesd up reading because it can easily be messed up due to the way the death message and it appears. We have seen in frontier justice that journalist sometimes read jan report as cop report and accidentally confirm maf as town. Ive been at both ends of that. Once mikery said i janned villager after reading my "sided with village" report as me janning villager.

This is legitimately the worst verdict I have ever seen because if I had misread the carol as saying Grannie or something which doesn't even look like the word Torreador I'd have been hailed for giving autowin for a misread. But because my misread benefitted mafia, it's suddenly refund worthy ISP. Unreal.

Not mentally understanding something is not negligence in any part of the universe. God damnit I thought I had gotten the carol to win the game and my head didn’t process it’s meaning and that’s the game. No negligence. I put due care into the game and made a horrible misread. My participation was fully given in this game and a simple reading wrong of a carol invalidates it all and means I didn’t participate sufficiently? absurd.

I’ve gotten like 3 ISP bios in the last week and because of this I’ve been SURE to participate fully in all my games and I cannot believe for misreading a carol you guys are round suspending me and giving me a vio. I have literally done everything in my power to not ISP anymore and this is absurd to vio me over a misread.

Torre was scummy af and Putler was clear and I thought carol made it auto how is this ISP??? I literally was gonna lynch outside on him for auto ANYWAYS. So say the carol was Putler Grannie and I read it to mean Grannie was confirmed when she wasn’t but that’s how I read it, it’s not magically NOT ISP because my misread HAPPENED to be correct? NO. It was my attention paid to the game knowing Putler was clear that even led me to thinking Torre was confirmed too like this is the most simple of misreads and is in no way indicative of insufficient participation this is ludicrous

I literally paid attention all game, tried my as’s off to find mafia and ultimately misunderstood a carol at 4 AM and made a mistake in reading it.
